The fourth prompt for Total Drama Fic Rec Week 2026 is your favourite wlw fics.

A wlw fic is a fanfic that focuses on a romantic relationship/romantic feelings between two women (or non-binary sapphics - I use 'wlw' expansively, including non-binary sapphic characters - in Total Drama, this is a popular interpretation of MK): in short, a sapphic exploration of characters from Total Drama. This can include getting together fics, unrequited pining, mutual pining, and established relationships!

Why? WLW fics are highly underrated in fandoms, including in Total Drama. This prompt is designed to shine a light on them! Time to give love to Mkulia, Gwourtney, Prillie, Courtemma and more!

Courtney and Gwen are paired up for a school project and things go about as well as you’d expect." WHY I RECOMMEND: Argh this has to be one of my favourite Gwourtney fics of all time. It is a medium burn fic that made me cry in at least three different chapters (╥﹏╥). It is incredibly well written, and the plot is very thought-out. Despite the main theme obviously being the unexpected school project. Things get intense especially on Courtney's end, through family & school struggles. She also refuses to let Gwen (her newfound "friend") understand anything that is going on. Small disclaimer, this fic has mentions of domestic abuse/self harm, it is also discontinued but please do give it a read !!

◇ Summary:

just a short oneshot on the toxic relationship that is gweather, feat a lil life lesson.

◇ Why I recommend it?

Toxic sapphics! They're so bad for each other. I love it. The text is very poetic, which just grab your attention even more. Is beautiful in the way a place burning down is.

◇ Summary:

Gwen has hated Heather since she has no idea when. She was just trying to find art supplies when Heather managed to lock them both inside of the room, and then they argued. Gwen kisses her to shut her up.

◇ Why I recommend it?

Similar to the last, very tense, and toxic! I also like forced proximity 😝 It makes characters face things they don't want to face.
