Bringing this event back for 2026! This is a low commitment event running from 9 to 15 March. For each prompt, simply tag me to be reblogged. You can fulfill anywhere between one or all of the prompts and can be short or long in your recommendations - you can recommend multiple fics for a prompt if you want! Day 3 of My TD Fic Rec Week!!

Sorry this is so late. I had a multi day power outage meaning I had to conserve phone charge and after that I got busy.

Last Chance by @henke-penke : A G rated 2.3k Trenoah fic set at the airport after the end of WT! Genuinely is one of my favorite Trenoah fic and it only has 11 kudos somehow! The way that Henke describes Trent's feelings is so God damn raw and real I love it. The ambiguous ending actually drives me insane omg I love these two sm!!!

"Caught In Time, So Far Away" by @failedscreenwriter

◇ Mature Rating | Angst | Alenoah | Heathney | Courtemma | Breaking Up and Making Up

There is genuinely so much I can say about this fic and it'd take forever, lol. The author does an insanely good job of wtiying the push and pull of the angst, the relationships, the characters decisions... everything. It feels insanely realistic, and you really get into the heads of the characters. Alejandro leaves a stable relationship with Noah to pursue Hollywood stardom in a barely-there relationship with Heather. When Ale realizes he's made a major mistake, does Noah take him back? What happens when you want to forgive the one you loved the most, but it feels so impossible?

Ugh. This fic is a fucking movie, and the alias "failedscreenwriter" honestly kills me because this is seriously an amazing story!! My friend you have succeeded !!! Killer writing, killer tension, killer everything. Killer bass or some shit LOL. Anyways, it's my overall favorite and I come back again and again! 10/10. Love you failedscreenwriter!!!

"There was touch in violence" by @bistic

◇ Mature Rating | Angst | Jose and Alejandro Burromuerto | Depictions of Violence | Sibling Rivalry

LOVE this fic. My friend Bistic does a fantastic job portraying the Hell the Burromuerto brothers put each other through. "There were no wraps around their hands, no preparation of any kind. It wasn't a boxing match; there was no one to signal the start, nor the end," is just one line of many that implies so much depth to both of the boys' characters. I highly recommend for some good introspection/character study for Jose and Ale!! (Same with all of their other works!!!)

"Quiet Mornings" by @I_NoahGuy

◇ General Audiences | Fluff | Trans Male Pregnancy | Alenoah | Protective Alejandro

Okay maybe I'm biased, since this was a gift fic for me, but OUGHHHHH this one kills me! It's so freaking sweet. Domestic fluff Alenoah, with perfectly written Noah sarcasm and a doting Alejandro obssessed with fine details (from repeatedly asking Noah if he feels well, to messing with the pillows behind his back). This fic just has great characterizations of the both of them. 10/10, even if T!Mpreg isn't your thing. It's just really fluffy, sweet and light. Adorable!!!

Sorry guys but I LOVE doomed yuri, and the dynamic of Gwen betraying Heather like Brutus and Caesar............. ohhhh my gosh. It's a great literary parallel to draw between the Shakespeare play and TDI (which is a sentence I never thought I'd type!) Anyways, I'm weak for Gweather. Enjoy this well written fic!!!

i don't really have a single favorite fic but this is def one of my favorites! there’s just something so special about 2021-era alenoah. this fic adds a lot of fun moments while still following along with canon, i find alejandro’s dehumanization of the other contestants fascinating, and oughhhhh the angst!!!

Gwen has been fooled by her favorite movie cliches.

◇ Why I recommend it?

IS SO CUTE AND SO SILLY AND ACTUALLY FEELS AS A CHICK FLICK SWEET MOMENT!! UGGFH I love it so much!!!! I wish more people explored this side of Gwen, very distinct of her gothic side.

Summary:

Noah — somehow — has been sent back in time to the beginning of Total Drama: Island. He's got a chance to fix everything that went wrong.

(What went wrong? Noah's been embarrassed on 3 seasons of reality tv and still hasn't won any money.)

This fic. It is so amazing. It is unique, the characterisation is on-point, it is well-written, and it is incredibly compelling and entertaining. If you have not read it, please go read it.

Summary:

Courtney thinks competing in the Ridonculous Race as the Best Friends is a terrible idea, but Alejandro is certain that with their skills, they can win… even if his legs are still damaged, and a few former members of Team Chris are also competing. Not to mention that Courtney soon finds herself distracted by a face she never expected to see here. As wounds from the past begin to rip open, will the Best Friends be able to stay best friends?

Noah expects this show to be like any other that he and Owen have competed on in the last year, complete with his steadily increasing competitive drive. What he doesn’t expect is to make fast friends with another team, or a reunion with a strangely sincere Alejandro. More perceptive than he’s given credit for, Owen just wants his little buddy to choose happiness, which is easier said than done on reality television.

Emma will do anything to win the million—except trust her opponents, or even her allies. Competing mostly for fun, Kitty wishes her sister would let her walls down, as she’s tired of how Emma’s been treating her since her bad breakup. There’s only so much bossy behavior she can take, and if Emma doesn’t start being honest with her, Kitty’s going to take charge.

This is an excellent, engaging, entertaining, well-written rewrite of Ridonculous Race with Alejandro & Courtney competing instead of The Best Friends. All of the character dynamics are on point, all the plot threads are compelling and resolved in an incredibly skilled and satisfying manner, and I will always adore this fic for introducing me to courtemma. An absolute classic!

SUMMARY:

During "I see London" the Gwuncan kiss ends up very different, when Gwen comes out as a lesbian after Duncan kisses her. Despite wanting to keep it a secret, especially from her homophobic parents, it doesn't go well when Tyler overhears and cannot keep his mouth shut. Gwen struggles with thoughts of suicide as well as loosing the kindling "friendship" with Courtney (who has to battle her own feelings throughout the story). More issues arise when producers don't like people of Gwen's kind, and Chris cannot keep her on the show...

WHY I RECOMMEND:

This has to be my favourite fic by FAR !! The author is really good at world-building and capturing the character's personalities, especially Gwen, who is the centre of this fic. They also don't make Duncan a complete douchebag which is refreshing to see when he's often demonised in Courtney/Gwen spaces. Speaking of, the way they deal with the girlfriends' and their feelings for each other is adorable. Gwen heavily goes through it but the ending is so worth it.

Small disclaimer: this fic has heavy mentions of suicide/thoughts for around a chapter or so. There is also homophobic themes throughout the fic.

Lindsay washes Gwen's hair, and Gwen decides that she shouldn't judge other girls just for being girls.

◇ Why I recommend it?

Gwen introspection is very good, and different of others I had read! I also like the exploration of mysoginy in woman characters, Gwen is an interesting subject for it. Also!! Lindsay being nice and helpful, love her.

◇ Summary:

Emma, lesbian, wants to tell her sister that she is, indeed, a lesbian, and not get accused of being in love with her friend Courtney, whom she does, admittedly, have a slight crush on.

◇ Why I recommend it?

The writing is beautiful, poetic, and very direct. An exploration of Emma's emotions and her sexuality, with a bit of comedy by Kitty!

in which wayne doesn’t find out about raj and bowie’s relationship until much later, and through discovering facets of himself and his relationship with raj, comes to accept the ever changing world around him.

I have read this fic a few times: it is an excellent Wayne character study. It's incredibly introspective and poignant; It's well written with compelling character dynamics, and I enjoy it immensely!

Summary:

Leshawna’s elimination from Total Drama World Tour leaves her shocked, betrayed, and made an utter fool of. But when she wakes up back on the Jumbo Jet, she realizes she’s been given a second chance to make it through the German challenge. And then she has to do it all over again.

And again.

Now, the million dollars is the furthest thing from Leshawna’s mind as she fights to break out of a time loop. But what will make it stop? Is that even possible? And… could there be somebody else stuck in it with her?

This is a really interesting fic and a really good study of Leshawna. The framing - time travel - and character dynamics are absolutely amazing and it is very well-written. It is also incredibly satisfying to read!

This is really interesting Gwen character study, focusing only on Total Drama Island, which is well-written, engaging, and has compelling character dynamics. The characterisation is impeccable and it is a fic I've enjoyed reading multiple times.
