None of my posts through this season really went into how I was feeling watching it, but yeah this was just a case of the gap between seasons eviscerated my knowledge and while I obviously remembered that the various sci-fi elements existed they were pretty much background knowledge to me, so Stargaze making them the focal point to such a degree left me somewhat lost. This isn't a problem with the show at all it's literally just a consequence of my own memory but yeah pretty much this whole season I've just felt bombarded with plot and worldbuilding details where my only reaction can really be "huh, okay". For all that, it was still an enjoyable watch and I like the simple optimism of its ending plus it looked pretty fuckin sick the entire time. So we keep a positive score, and I get to say I don't regret the experience. But if I want more out of this narrative I'll need to do the full rewatch. Alternatively check out the original anime or the manga too, although I don't actually know how interested in those I am so.
