Buddy No. 7, dated 28 March 1981. Hammer! cover by Ian Kennedy. Unlike a lot of other early Buddy stories, which were relaunches of old characters, Hammer! appears to have been an entirely new strip. With Dennis McLoughlin on the interior art and the story set in Scandinavia in the year 890 it has the feel of an older story (not a bad thing by any means). DC Thomson.
