Current living conditions, on the other hand, leave a bit more to be desired.

Sure, a little elbow grease would probably go a long way, but stretched out over four factory floors of filth and grime — that sounds like a lot of work.

For the time being, cleaning up one of the bathrooms will have to suffice. And this office sooner or later, too.

To celebrate the end of spring and the good catch, Cherry and Dawson invited the rest of the New Promise crew to join them for a weenie roast fish fry.

Told you I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel on unique goaled events! 😁 But this is 4 of 5 completed and I'm saving the best for last.

I wouldn't describe all these try-ons as strictly necessary, but somewhere in between scavenging and just clowning around, Dawson managed to find a sporty new(-to-him) mid-weight athletic jacket and a really nice pink towel.

This place definitely isn't what Dawson had in mind when he decided to set out on his own, but I think it's growing on him!

Cult or no cult, there's a certain earnestness about life here. After years of nihilism watching the world burn from both an ironic and literal distance—tucked away in the comfort and safety of a doomsday compound—it's strangely more comforting than cringe-inducing.

An acid rainstorm has disrupted plans to do laundry over at Tyler's, but this man's quality of life has still been improved a good 30% by this clean-ish, fluffy new towel.
