Whenever I look at fan art and then compare it with my own I feel a little disheartened because mine just looks so.. generic
I tend to get lost in the details when I draw a character because I become such a perfectionist that when I stop to look back I realise nothing is unique or popping out.. it's just like tracing but with extra steps, noting is styled differently or experimented on..
this is why I always have a hard time grasping my own art style, not that I even have one to begin with.. I feel like I need to try and stop forcing my drawing to look Exactly like the actual characters I am drawing.. that is the magic of fan art, its made in the eyes of a fan so it's different :)
