The next time there’s a Shonen Jump anniversary fighter they should make Zoro and Sanji a combined “stance” character. Hear me out.

Both Zoro and Sanji share health and meter, but each have their own attacks, taunts, and specials along with a dedicated move to cause whichever strawhat is playable to get knocked offscreen by their counterpart getting tagged in. You can, of course, choose to play as only Sanji or only Zoro, but then you won’t make the most of their unique mechanic: the damage tally. The character has a special tally on the UI recording the separate damages done to an opponent by either Sanji or Zoro, and when one strawhat’s tally surpasses the other’s then whoever has the lower “score” on the tally gets a damage buff determined by the difference between the scores. Sanji and Zoro turn every fight into a fierce competition between the two to see who will deal the most damage to their opponent, and whoever wins gets to celebrate on the victory screen!

I’ve thought of this concept since playing Jump Force, and it’s nice to finally put it out into the world lol. I feel that this highlights the rivalry between Sanji and Zoro, allows for more Strawhat crew representation in a game with limited slots per franchise, and it gives Sanji an out via Zoro for when the opponent selects a woman character.

I was thinking... if my avatar were working for the Emperor of the Universe, she would work as his assistant. Also, the camaraderie between the two still be maintained.
