June 14th, 2025 - Arcaea, Dynamix Universe
Trying to drain my stamina at midnight as much as possible so I can hop back on and #grind once I wake up with fully recharged stamina, and I got a bit more notable scores in a slight PM upscore on Lights of Muse (FTR-8+, MAX-9 -> MAX-5) and a new PM on SATISFACTION (ETR-9, MAX-17) as ETR PM #18!!!!!
but that's not even the most important or cool part of the session... no, that came after work today when there were only a few hours left in the day and... the beta test for DYNAMIX UNIVERSE was about to close!!! hurriedly wanting to experience as much of the game as possible, i hopped on and tried to see what i could experience and unlock as fast as possible. turns out -- quite a lot!!! the entire beta's contents, actually!!! (besides the super hard stuff that i just can't clear because i've never played dynamix before LMFAO) . but hey!!! managed to get my first Chi rank, first Psi rank, first FC (on Zutto [HARD 10.0] somehow!!! a 10!!!! and with MAX-2!!!!), and first (two) Omega(s)!!!!!
as for the game itself? it is INCREDIBLE!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!! possibly the most hyped i've been for a new rhythm game (version) release since DDR WORLD a year ago!!!! it's got extremely cool visuals, a really fun exploration unlock system, adorably animated chibi models of all the characters, and the new chart mechanics are just really fun even as someone who's never played the original. it's a super fun, exciting, and promising new titles, and besides a few rough visuals/missing soundtrack that's probably just a result of the closed beta test, i think this is an absolutely perfect first impression on what could be an amazing new title. that's all i got to play before the closed beta server closed (hah), but if there's more opportunities in the future (like mayhaps an open beta) i'd be Super down to try it!!!
BONUS: a gameplay video of the beta uploaded by yours truly -- my MAX-2 FC of Zutto by Hexacube!!! my first Dynamix FC of any capacity, and a very impressive one given all the new note types and tech (mainly fuser notes and regular notes inside holds) that i've otherwise never seen in any other rhythm game (besides . well . the original dynamix)
