I find it really fun that in Fast Forward, in the age where violence is so taboo that it has ruined wrestling, Bishop’s security forces have guns that aren’t deactivated at the PGA headquarters. In Head of State, he tells Mikey that all the turtles’ weapons deactivated when they came in, but his guards can still shoot just fine. I dunno, there’s something there about how he has been doing this so long and has trained himself so well how to do it that, paradoxically, he can never fully feel safe again, and about setting up safety measures that will calm the public but will never make him feel at ease. It doesn’t matter how much peace he can establish, Bishop will always keep his hand on a loaded gun.
