Luckily, we are teaming up to kick off a regular monthly event for art lovers with 2nd Friday Art Hops.

Metamorphosis New Work by Eric Stefanski August 9 - 14,  2013 Opening Reception, Friday, August 9, 2013   6 -11pm The work of Eric Stefanski is process intense that draws from his affinity for mark making. His works creates interplay between decollage, painting, assemblages and sculpture. His work includes materials that range from magazine transfers, refined garden soil, spray paint, plastic and lumber. He sees these paintings as conversations. In this narrative, he is trying to stay true to the physicality and mark marking that initially brought him to painting while continuing to push the discourse forward. Eric Stefanski has shown extensively throughout Chicago with this being his second solo exhibition with the gallery. He holds a BA from DePaul University and studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. This is Eric’s last exhibition in Chicago before moving to Boston MA to pursue a MFA at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts. www.ericstefanski.com

Opening Reception: Friday, July 12, 2013   6 - 11pm

Lauren Zens uses acrylic paint on slabs of masonite to create prismatic abstract and geometric paintings. Her work has been exhibited at Dose Market, The Den Theatre and Sacred Art. She graduated from Columbia College in 2012 with a BA in Music Business. This is her first solo show.
