Donald Trump has been an abysmal failure in dealing with the pandemic. And he has been making it worse by spreading dangerous misinformation about the virus.
Twitter had suspended the Trump campaign’s account (@TeamTrump) for claiming that “children are almost — and I would almost say definitely — but almost immune from this disease“ until that bullshit claim was removed.
By coincidence, a 2nd grader in Mississippi just tested positive for COVID-19 on the first day of school. Problems were also reported in Georgia.
Trump has used Twitter to spread lies and hate speech for almost as long as he’s had an account. If Twitter had taken disciplinary action against Trump long ago he might not have been able to deceive his way to the White House.
This action against the Trump campaign account may have been meant as an overall warning to him.
