This is a dilemma, at one side, i reckon this is a brilliant idea of recycling the empty coke bottle (sigh...coke bottle..no pun intended) but isn't this meant the increase of plastic usage at the same time?

Coca-Cola 2nd Lives Campaign

Turns used Coke bottles into household objects using 16 different bottle caps.

The caps in question range from useful (a sharpener and a spray gun) to playful (the water pistol and bubble stick). But I have one big ? - the dumbbell cap.

The promotion video show 2 normal sized bottles attached to the dumbbell and I cant imagine how many people would use it that way, it would make sense if it works just as well with 1 liter Coke bottles (but I wonder about structural integrity)

I think its amazing though that Coca-cola wants to get 40,000 coke bottles out of future landfills, and I'm sure the campaign will have an impact on the lives of a lot of people but a little part of me screams "MARKETING STRATEGY!", but I suppose that's okay when its tied to a sustainable practice.

Siendo una empresa socialmente responsable, Coca-Cola lanza la campaña "2nd Lives" (segundas vidas) con el afán de sumarse a la tendencia del reciclaje. 

Con esta campaña han reciclado y convertido 40,000 envases en juguetes, burbujas de jabón, mancuernas, rociadores y dispensadores de crema, entre otros, en Vietnam y tienen planeada una gira por toda Asia.
