How to Deal with Sadness?
I have been feeling sad lately because of anxiety. And I have been sharing a some of it with you. So for now, I wanna share what I have read on how to cope up with sadness.
Regardless of the cause of your sadness or even if there doesn’t seem to be one, you can do the following things when sadness holds you in it’s grip.
Talk about it. The relief you feel is amazing when you have someone who knows what you are going through. It’s as if they lower the rope and pull you out of the pit.
Write about it. When sadness clouds your outlook of life, you might want to put your thoughts on a paper. Writing helps you to organize the mental clutter that accumulates from sadness. When you can express your feelings and sort them out, the sadness is less overwhelming.
Pray about it. You wouldn’t want to underestimate the power of prayer. Poor out your heart and ask Him to identify the root of your sadness.
But when sadness won’t go away, be treated and don’t be ashamed of it. And trust more, for everything will be okay.
