“......... Can a lightsaber cut through Captain America’s shield?” Vivi decides to ask at 2:34 am while they’re taking a much-needed rest at a gas station before driving again.
“I saw a post about that.” Arthur answered, sipping on his energy drink through a straw, because why not. “Mark Hamill said it doesn’t work in the marvel universe, but it would in the star wars. Chris Evans said it’d be foolish to just give him vibranium throwing stars.”
He paused for a long moment, rubbing at his cheek. “…Personally? I think it just depends on the wielder. Like a jedi could probably get some like… force-vibration going if they’re powerful enough. Probably. And lightsabers are literally like- super-heated laser light? Vibranium could be shaped into a shield and stuff, so it is possible to be malleable so- the lightsaber could potentially cut through the shield. But the lightsaber owner would have to know the metal’s weakness and be able to use that as well as the lightsaber itself. I don’t think it’d cut it on it’s own since a laser naturally couldn’t, if I remember right.”
