Today's siren of the day is the 3T22 by Federal signal!

What is this pasta shaped looking thing! I too want a plate of delicious Mac and cheese i right now! A siren what even had more than one movie cameo. Firstly built in 1955 they served as warning and alerting sirens to the public. They were used for fire stations, civil defense, weather warnings and at industry plants. What makes the 3t22 special is that compared to the 2T22 it has a damper allowing the siren to do the HI-LO signal. Commonly used for fire calls. The siren is known for its iconic dual tone sound and for shortly cameoing in the movie "the day after"

So, yesterday morning, I ended up at a cemetery, Wyuka, in Nebraska City, NE. Mainly because a big cluster of horns on a ~30ft pole was going to make some noise. No dead was woken during the test.
