Weekly siren poll! And the first poll of 2026!
What a week it has been yall. Definitely the longest week of my life 😭. We're starting off the first poll pretty strongly with a few pretty iconic sirens to choose from. Never thought I'd have to pit Pintsch Bamag against H.O.R but here we are!

Today's siren of the day is the 3T22 by Federal signal!
What is this pasta shaped looking thing! I too want a plate of delicious Mac and cheese i right now! A siren what even had more than one movie cameo. Firstly built in 1955 they served as warning and alerting sirens to the public. They were used for fire stations, civil defense, weather warnings and at industry plants. What makes the 3t22 special is that compared to the 2T22 it has a damper allowing the siren to do the HI-LO signal. Commonly used for fire calls. The siren is known for its iconic dual tone sound and for shortly cameoing in the movie "the day after"

Today's siren of the day is the Decot Model 12!
Why is this basket making noise? It certainly does look like a basket. But in truth these baskets are sirens. Known as Decot Model 12. In the 1920s Decot Machine Works was founded and the demands for fire sirens was high. Decot has produced many sirens and prototypes but the most well known is the Decot Model 12 or Red arrow model 12

Today's siren of the day is the SENTRY 5V by Sentry siren!
Ah yes.. Sentry. A siren company that gets tbh very overlooked on my point of view. We have a few to go through but let's keep it simple . It's wearing a hat. What can you say. Sentry siren was founded in the 1970s taking over sterling sirens! (well get to sterling dw) Produced from 1980 to 2000 it stood out with the neat design. In 2000 the sentry 5v was discontinued and replaced

Today's siren of the day is the SCREAMER by ALERTING COMMUNICATORS OF AMERICA!
Hiiiii! And happy new year. Now that the festivities are mostly over the siren posting will continue. An important note is though that the next poll will be next week though (probably including the sirens from this week) So today's siren of the day is basically the "smaller sibling" of the ACA Cyclone (who was the winner of the last siren poll). It firstly was built in the 1967s. It was a very useful and simple model and served as direct competition to the Federal Signals Model 2 and 5. Even as ACA was changed to ASC the screamer line continued until 2004!

Today's siren of the day is the Federal signal/ Fedelcode Model 5 by Federal signal and other companies!
So we are finally getting the different models? I guess! There are a few models to share which should get their proper posts soon but let's begin with the Federal Signal Model 5 today. Firstly built in 1948 the federal signal model 5 has a few models : the Type 3, the Type 3/5 and the Type 5/7/10 which might be familiar to you as it is the most successful siren in the line up. The production discontinued in the late 1980s due to decreasing demand. The sirens were Co produced with W.S Darley and Co. Other companies caught wind and were inspired by the simple design of the sirens. (.. And I kinda wonder if some siren types here are insured by the federal signal models!).
