"I wish my eyes were prettier, I wish my hands were softer, I wish my hair was made of silk but wishing will never make me something I am not. So I will be proud of the way my eyes see into souls and help them heal, I will be proud of the hands that wipe away tears and steal away sorrow, and I will be proud of the hair that sticks up in every direction except they way I want it too because I am proud that I am me!"
I wrote this today and I hope that every girl feels this way. Though I might be dreaming, I dream of the world that could be and should be but isn't. We can all change it little by little. It may take time but doesn't everything?
