So Vox is great in Hazbin, but I really had come to love him as he was depicted by Paranoid DJ, like I know they were never *quite* canonized, but they were always just on the cusp of it.
Something I've loved however is getting to see Velvette be such a powerful badass, so I've decided what I'd (personally) like to see is Vox having a very paternal view of Velvette and secretly still having a very unsafe relationship with Valentino, just hiding it far better in the show, and at some point attempting to protect Velvette from Val's anger when she takes something too far for him to ignore and we see he really *is* the weakest of the 3 Vs, just personable and hypnotic.
Val says something implying that this is far from the first time Vox has tried to shield Vel, and as Vox struggles to get back up, images flick across his cracked screen of various times across his various "upgrades" that Val has hurt him. He tries to cover it with his hands and through a glitching stutter pleads with an outraged Vel to just leave, that everything will be alright, that he'll be able to fix himself up again "good as new".
I want to see her just destroy Valentino. Like go full demon mode and just decimate that nasty moth quickly and horrifyingly painfully, maybe incorporate his wings into her outfit so even once his body does eventually re-form the wings are just tattered shreds to remind him never to fuck with her or Vox ever again.
I think she'd be kind of mad at Vox for a while for thinking she needed protection and for always hiding the situation from her (which is really saying something, she's an incredibly observant person), but would ultimately forgive him since she appreciates that his care for her was selfless in a way she was hard-pressed to find while alive, let alone once she was in hell, and their communication would be much more honest going forward, with him being more actively respectful of her while she now recognizes that all of his parental behaviors towards her are fully genuine, not an act.
