I didn't realise until today that my friends have become my family, without whom living seems compromised.

No one takes care of me..I take care of everyone else though.
Dear Mrs. Jimenez,
You moved in across the street when I was 4. The day you moved in my mom and I took you guys a tray of cookies. From that day on you were constantly in my life. Everyday after school I would go to your house until my parents got home and on the weekends I only went home to sleep. In the spring we'd pick mulberrys at the edge of the yard and in the summertime we'd play in the pool until our lips turned blue. You'd make us hotdogs and we'd eat popsicles. The fall had us playing in the leaves even though we were meant to be raking. In the winter we'd build an ice rink, bring life to snowmen, and create sledding ramps down the front porch stairs. You treated my sister and I like your daughters. You taught us life lessons that I will never forget. You were always there if I needed you and you made sure that I knew that. When I found out what happened I was in shock. I went to your house everyday this week after school like I had for so many years but this time you weren't there to greet me when I walked through the door. I would give anything to hear your laugh again or for you to hug me and say that everything will be okay. Most of all, going forward I hope that the bossy little girl from across the street can make you proud.
It's weird how I forget that musicians have different accents when I only see them play instruments...
"Lorge and Gorge"
adj. the term I came up with for “Tall and Gorgeous” while I was laying in bed late at night.
