Navy blue shirts

If I could, I would send my clone To run the worldly tasks; While I lock myself up in my room In a mourning silence so stark

War, crimes, refugees, bombs War zones. Poverty and starvation, third worlds. Men cheating Women leaving Children deserted First worlds. The empath in me Sobbing at humanity Perhaps we’ve all lost our sanity.

Something jams my throat I got a difficulty in expressing the grief of a world full of people so incredibly depressing

I need to do something But im not even sure of my role in society, Am I to be a woman of power Or a woman of piety?

Should i be a woman that will run the same old mill? Or should i get ambitious, pick a career, then watch my children tumbling downhill?

A confused mind that finds no solace.

Hoping to relax, I sat on the couch, I turn on the TV and Oh! Ouch!

There goes a man in a navy blue shirt surrounded by guards, “This man is arrested! On 3 rape charges…. still in custody!”

Next headline,

There’s another man in a navy blue shirt Also surrounded by guards, “A woman’s body is her temple… woman’s rights…. soul study!”

What an odd confusing generation? Disturbed, i go back in isolation I turn off the TV Triggered mind back in action

So i went to the kitchen Picked up my tart Sat on the counter as i nibbled While I took a pen and scribbled

“3 things I’m not sure about, 1. How do I fix the world? 2. What I want to do in life? 3. What kind of generation should I raise?”

Then i proceeded to write,

“3 things I’m sure about, 1. By saving people, the world can be fixed. 2. I need to help. 3. We don’t want this generation again!”
