As a group we made a 3-part timelapse whereby we had to set up our phones in 3 different positions so each frame leads into the next, to mimic the idea of them being joined up. At first, this was challenging because we had to ensure accuracy so the frames led into the next perfectly. After establishing this, we planned to record a time-lapse race. Our first recording went wrong because we were all moving too fast - forgetting we were recording a time lapse (which is sped up already) so after further discussion we came to the conclusion that we needed to run in VERY slow motion and all sort of following the same space - and if overlapping, the person we wanted to overlap had to slow down instead of the person overlapping speeding up.

I think this style of timelapse is really clever and effective when done correctly because it looks like the video is just one frame split into 3 seperate frames instead of 3 totally individual clips. If we could do this again, I think we’d need too perfect our running techniques to make sure it looks like actual running rather than exaggerated steps - but at the same time, I think our style of running gives the video a comical and humerous effect.
