Hhhhhhhow the Fuck do I hold a note that long I’m like??? Small
Fun story: I'm in my school's Women's chorus (our top group) and sometimes we can't find SSA arrangements. So ofc we just bump Sop 2s to bass line (but up an octave) and alto 2s become tenors. This happens so often that we have more SATB music than SSA.
However, our director forgets that she can't call out "altos" without specifying ones or twos. So alto 2s are never alto 2s, no no. We're the "altenors" (Name came from a lot of stammering, yelling, and laughter) and i love it thats probs gonna be my first tat. Who else here is an altenor
That moment when the song you’re singing along to doesn’t have any harmonies so you just start singing the instrumentals.
orchestra/band, in a choir kid's eyes
(based on my experiences with those who play these instruments)
flutes: very pained. who hurt you? sometimes the cool kid but not really
piccolo: umm whomst?
clarinets: isn't that what squidward plays mate
oboes: don't personally know any but from a distance seem nice enough, could prob murder someone though because they seem like they seen some wild shit
bassoon: kinda like the oboes older brother except less murdery
french horns: all I know is my mother wanted me to play this and still bothers me on it when my friend mentions orchestra
trumpet: usually loud and wild but I'm down with their style of chaos
trombones: whomst
tuba: okok listen up my middle school put all 6th grade girls on tuba and now all I can Imagine is 11 year olds playing huge ass tubas
first violin: pretty much the equivalent of how choir kids see sopranos
2nd violin: the nicer soprano
viola: weirdos but sometimes they're okay
basses: confusing but have their shit together
percussion: theres so many of you I feel overwhelmed
I don't know who made this but I relate 😂
Colleen gives off Soprano 2 vibes
I’m not sorry
One of my memorable moments is joining this performing choir. Such an experience!
The Snow, Edward William Elgar - Antique Cordova Ensemble
(sound warning: there’s applause at the end and you might have to strain to hear the vocals a little bit at some parts because of the perspective)
