Taking a break from what the world would look like if I was king of focus on the reality of the matter.
I think the U.S. should let all the other countries vote in the next presidential election.
To be fair, you know? Realistically, the U.S. has had a say in plenty of other countries politics. Why not let them return the favor? It could be interesting. Let's give it a go.
Louis hurts his knee on stage, so the boys proceed to change the lyrics to "More Than This" to fit his predicament =)
Enjoy!
Thursday 3.10.13
Started the day with this weird muesli stuff that had chocolate in it, kind of defeats the purpose eating muesli am I right? Was mighty tasty though.
Elise and I were headed for the shops, we had to get our white shirts for the scribble party we would be having in Austria. Unlucky for us, the shops didn't open until 11 or so. We waited for ages down at the beach, just chatting/gossiping, it was great to have 'girly time'. Everyone else was going to the ruins that are on a hill above the beach. When the shops finally opened we went nuts. I'm pretty sure we went into every single store along the main shopping strip in Nice. Though I didn't actually buy anything until H&M. I was exhausted by that point, shopping really takes it out of me hey. Weird right. I bought my white shirt, jeans and a pair of ballet flats. I didn't think Doc Martens were going to be acceptable in the casinos of Monaco. Wasted pair of shoes in my opinion, they hurt my feet like crazy and I only worse them for 10 minutes before throwing them away. Though they were only 4euro, I'd spent more on lunch. Being so cultured and sophisticated I decided I was going to have a Big Mac. It was so good, and I ordered it in french. So give me a little credit please. It was so challenging. I guess the lady serving me knew I didn't speak french, because after I placed my order she said 'nice try but you have to work on your accent' IN PERFECT ENGLISH. At least I tried. Better than being completely ignorant and assuming she spoke english.
So after that fun experience, Elise and I went back to the hostel to get ready for Monaco and met up with a couple of the other girls. All feeling lovely it was onto the bus again. WE WERE GOING TO MONACO.
We went to the palace and had a little walk around, I told everyone some puns. ie, what the best thing about living in Switzerland? well the flag is a big plus ;)
or I'd better Czech(check) on our Pragueress(progress). Thought I should explain that one, seeing as when I told it only 5 people got it. Ergh. So after all the puns, we got a boys photo and a girls photo, then drove into the heart of Monaco where Scotty parked the bus and we walked to Grand Casino.
The thing I remember most about being in Monaco, was Chris ordering a Gin and Tonic, handing over a 20 and getting no change. He was so mad it was so funny. So after all the shenanigans that happened in monaco, like that with poor chris, me eating a couple wasabi peanuts without realising and accidentally not paying for our drinks, we were back on the bus and going to Waynes Bar.
This bar was packed already but apparently we had tables reserved. Didn't really seem like it. The band that was playing was really good though, the bass guitarist was super cute. After a while they push all the tables together so people can dance on them. We all got pretty into, not going to lie. Everyone suddenly broke out their stripper moves. Was so funny to watch.
At about 12 I left the table dancing to the other girls/guys and went to stand with the rest of my group that were chatting by the bar. On my walk there I got stopped three times, all by really seedy dudes that were not being subtle in anyway. Pretty gross. They kept trying to put their arms around me, finally getting the attention of the boys in my group, they noticed what was going on, so Chris came over, wrapped his arm around me and we acted like we were together. Got the other guys to back off so all was well. In the end we devised a system, two girls for each guy on the bus. They would look out for us and we them. Worked out really well for the rest of the trip, I would definitely recommend. And hey, it worked both ways, either to ward people off or as wingmen. Really great system. 10/10.
After all that happened I was really sick of the bar, so I walked home, again by myself, I quickly packed my bag, as we were leaving in the morning and hit the pillow.
