3.7 spoilers! phaidei yelling pt2 because one post about them is NOT ENOUGH.

CRIED SO HARD AT THIS. I ADORE how they kept the "there is no word for xyz in the Kremnoan language" and "does the Kremnoan language even have words" gag throughout Amphoreus because i LAUGHED so hard at each and every one of them.

PEAK. ACTUAL PEAK HUMOUR i wont even lie. Maybe i am easily entertained but a woman has her hyperfixations and these two fuckers are IT.

Back to them GRRRRRRR. it's so insane to me how much emphasis Phainon puts on the books from MYDEI'S library specifically because Castrum Kremnos isn't even known for their dictionary and words! They're known for fighting! And war! For Phainon to focus on the books, the more forgotten aspect of Castrum Kremnos is just. Hoyoverse. Hoyoverse.

MYDEI KNOWS HIM SO WELL 😭 ! While i was researching on Phainon for my fic, a thing or two popped up about his treasure appraisal hobbies and an event too! For Mydei to KNOW about this and even predict Phainon's actions. Oh my lord.

Phainon wants to learn some words in the Kremnoan language!! I've read a fic about this (shoutout that one haikaveh fic where kaveh learnt ASL to argue with deaf!alhaitham. That is what this moment reminded me of. TO GO TO THE EXTENT of learning some phrases (perhaps the language as well? wink wink) to "deal" with him?? Admitting you're in love with him is less obvious at this point.

Anyways I briefly talked about this on my previous post but oh my lord. This. This is. Okay i need a moment.

Moment over. As the CROWN PRINCE OF STRIFE, i can only imagine that anyone Mydei trusts to kill him is someone he trusts extensively AND someone who is a great warrior. Because Mydei would never go down without a good fight. So this is basically Mydei saying that he trusts Phainon to give him a good fight to the very end, and then trusts him to end his life for good.

Cool! Very normal about this, like I said.

Shrieked, wailed, cried, sobbed when I saw this signet ring. The very ring Phainon gifted Mydei after conspiring with Chartonus to fish it out for the Sea of Souls at the beginning of the 3.x patches, and Mydei now using it to aid Phainon (and us!) in the final battle against Irontomb. AGHH MY HEART. we really have come full circle. My gosh. My GOSH.

okay end rant im exhausted i love these two so so much hoyoverse finally did it again. Never thought i'd be so insane for a ship in hsr after renheng, but phaidei has DONE it. bravo, hoyoverse.

Addicted to currency wars. Why is Dr. Ratio classified as Cosmic Scholar and Galactic Voyager?! Galactic Voyagers include Sampo, Saber, Argenti... Argenti, I understand. Where you come from doctor? Where are you going? Why you hopping around? Is this lore drop?

If Cyrene and Demiurge are technically the same person just from different.. Uh.. Timeline?? (Like, they are each other's past and future yet exist at the same time???) and Demiurge is technically Irontomb's head (or atleast part of it), does it means that Lygus is her real parent?? Like, real father? And her brothers would be Irontomb (who was apart of her) and Nous???

I mean.. Uh.. Imagine, Lygus also got reincarnated into the new Era Nova, into the newly made Amphoreous and if Cyrene is there too because either she's already awake or some other plot that also free (or 'free') her from Amphoreous's past than.. Urm. Imagine Lygus and Cyrene have a love-hate father-daughter relationship-

Like, uh... Cyrene can absolutely hate him with a passion but also can't be too rude because he's her father and to be too rude to your parents just feels weird, y'know? Even if just one parent???

Andd, Idk, Lygus is no longer Zandar since he closed the connection -- maybe he then genuinely try to contribute for Amphoreous in a good way and maybe try to reconnect with his former's creation, Cyrene might as well feel even more weird/awkward if she's go full animosity around Lygus and they just somewhat bond too in a weirdly wholesome love-dislike-hate father/daughter kind?

Imagine the conversation... Especially if Phainon is around..

Cyrene: Why.. are you here..?

Lygus: Well, can't a father visit his kid?????

Phainon from beside her: Absolutely NOT. Get out.

Lygus: Wooo.. Party pooper.

Cyrene: *Bluescreened Party.. Pooper??

Lygus: That's what kids these days say! Anyway, want a cake? I bought two boxes :)

Cyrene: Ooohh cake! What kind?

Lygus: Strawberry Shortcake!

Cyrene: Sweet! Thanks da-

Phainon, taking the box for her: I'll take this for you.. Just in case..

*Awkward silent -- Phainon glaring at Lygus with one of the box in his hand*

Cyrene: *fake cough Anywayyy, we got a place to be.. Right Khaslana??

Phainon: Yep, definitely.

Finished 3.7 today (sorry for being late to the gang I was procrastinating) and apart from just saying that I really enjoyed it I just want to give acknowledgement to elements of hoyoverse story in general.

Is amphoreus the best story I've ever read? No, obviously not, in fact I have gotten so confused on multiple occasions with my brain unable to wrap around the basic premise of what's going on.

But I really appreciate how human-centred many HSR stories are. About how even if we are too insignificant to cast a shadow on the gods, how our lives disappear in a blink to be washed away like grains of sand in the cosmos, we can still change things. That we may be weak, but that isn't enough to stop humanity from achieving feats worthy of being etched in the stars. This may be because I'm biased, but as someone who holds very little hope for my own future and turns to games and fiction as a form of escapism, stories in HSR bring me something that makes me smile. Watching the characters I've grown attached to over the span of nearly a year accomplish the hopeless, sacrifice themselves for the greater of the universe, it brings me some hope that life isn't so bleak and that perhaps my life can still be salvaged, someway somehow. And if anything, I couldn't help but smile as hello world played, even though the journey is technically over. Maybe we won't see them again, but it's nice to think that we will.

Thank you writers of Amphoreus, for giving me some hope in humanity. See you tomorrow :)

I finished the 3.7 quest...what do you mean they all got destroyed and now only exist in a book?!?

Gotta buy that book and keep it under my pillow while i sleep frfr.
