Domperidone Trial: Week 73
I just made a big girl decision today and I’m still debating if the timing is all right. Without divulging too much information, but I did have a placed contraception for some time, especially during my trial. It was an implanted one but today, I got it removed. I meddled on the decision for 2 months until I actually went through with it.
I only mention this because Domperidone CAN be affected by the type of birth control you take, well depending if the user is actually taking any hormonal birth control at all. During the research I found, there was one scientist who used domperidone in combination with a particular type of birth control to stimulate a real pregnancy as a way of inducing lactation. As a precaution of course, take this information with a grain of salt since this is what I could find during my research, if you have found some more information elsewhere, great! Since I’m not a doc (obviously) please consult a real doc before taking anything that could change your health blah blah blah.
Ok so other than lil’ bit of information, I have some other news I have to share :) It might sound a bit sad at first, but I am truly excited for the future on this one. I know there’s a lot of folks out there who are also interested in lactation just as much as I am, and they see Domperidone as probably their greatest chance. I did too, and it made me incredibly happy to finally have a bigger bust and see a couple drops of milk here and there.
It’s with a semi-heavy heart that I tell y’all that I won’t be continuing the Domperidone trial after my supply is finished. No more new orders for me y’all. However though! I will still be keeping a lactation friendly diet and continue to induce lactation, but just without Domperidone this time. I will still be posting weekly so not to worry about that :)
I came to that conclusion because it just so happens that sometime in the (hopefully near) future my partner and I will be trying to conceive!!!! My partner agreed that we are both at the age and actually want this really badly. I am truly overjoyed that the time is actually within grasp! (I hope lol) I have already decided that I want to start preparing my body for the time being, get everything that I haven’t done yet out of the way and all that jazz. Hopefully I’ll be able to write about my journey with prenatal vitamins on here :) I have nothing but positivity and happiness for the future! I wish that on all my lovely followers as well!
