Edibles Dosing Chart: Interpreting Potency in Infused Cannabis Products

The same dose of a cannabis edible can have different effects from person to person. Avoid an unpleasant experience with our cannabis edible dosage chart and guide.

A friend of mine told me a hilarious story about another friend of hers who are too much weed (25mg in chocolate) and was convinced she was going to die, the earth was “moving too slow”, and that she was paralyzed (declared while walking around a room). So I sent this to my friend, and I’m sharing it here as a PSA for anyone who is considering edibles. 

Remember: low and slow. They say ff you’ve never eaten an edible before, you want to use between 2.5 and 5mg, and wait two hours before you add any more THC to your body. And if you find out that you’ve overdone it, pure CBD in a vape pen or whatever can help get the earth back to its normal orbital speed.

The customer isn’t always right.

Nurse: hey Wayfaring, little R’s mom called about his medication refill. She says you sent the wrong dose.

Wayfaring: *checks chart* I sent the same dose he was on last time.

Nurse: she says he should be on double that.

Wayfaring: Nope, he hasn’t gained enough weight from last time for his dose to go up. I calculated it in front of her during the visit. It’s the same. And his symptoms are controlled on it so there’s no need to go up anyway.

Nurse: she still says he needs double the dose. Who do I go with?

Wayfaring: I went to medical school. And I write prescriptions all day.

Nurse: I know but she’s positive.

Wayfaring: And I’m positive. Positive that I went to medical school. And that I calculated the dose properly because I just recalculated it and it was the same. And that the pharmacy agrees with my dosing over hers.

Nurse: oh boy this is gonna be a fun phone call.

I’m adding my first dose of magnesium tonight! After it’s raised some I’ll be adding calcium and alkalinity. Adding 40 ml to raise it 75ppm for the first 24 hour period. Current levels:

Ca - 360ppm

KH/Alk - 6.5 dKH

Mg - 1020

Everything is very low, considering my goal is approx.:

Ca - 440ppm

KH - 12 dKH

Mg - 1400ppm
