It was a hunt. There was a blood-red full moon in the sky. The forest was silent and dark.  Only your footsteps could be heard.

He had chosen you. Had chosen you as his *prey*. You were his *lamb* and he was his *wolf*.

It was part of the ritual that the men chose a woman with whom to perform the act of the flesh. The Lupercalia was a celebration of bodily autonomy, sexual liberation and, above all, procreation. Though *procreation* is to be understood more symbolically. For it was clearly about the act itself. The lust, the devotion, the desire. The celebration of the beginning of spring, the time when everything grows and blossoms anew.

Your breathing was rapid as you fought your way through the undergrowth. You kept looking over your shoulder. Was he behind you? Was he catching up? Was he watching you? Was he waiting for the right moment to strike? Was he waiting in the dark somewhere?

Shouts and laughter could be heard from afar, telling you that a couple had found each other. But you kept walking, the excitement seeming to grow with every step you took. Your knuckles turned white as you gripped the handle of the basket containing the utensils you needed. A crack made you jump and you quickened your pace. Though you knew there was no point in running, everything would come to an end. At the end of the night you would be in Copia's arms and that's what you wanted. You wanted him to find you. To catch you.

Eventually you came to a small clearing. Under the full moon, a small lake spread out in front of you, reflecting the moon's light. Your eyes wandered across the clearing. Then you saw a shadow. Hidden behind the trees. Your heart skipped a beat. Who was it? Without thinking, you ran towards the forest. But it was too late. You had barely reached the edge of the forest when you felt two arms around your waist and a scream escaped you.

"Gotcha, little lamb!" Copia growled in your ear. After the initial shock had worn off, you laughed softly. Copia turned you around and held you close to him. He was wearing a fur cloak that shaded his face. But you could see his white eye flash when your eyes met.

"You hid well," he said after a moment of silence, his eyes sweeping across the clearing before he looked at you again. He took a step back and held out his hand. "Come!" You took his hand and followed him to the centre of the clearing. When he stopped, he took off his hood. And now you could clearly see his uneven eyes. They looked even more mysterious in the moonlight. You knew what was going to happen. The wolf had his prey.

He took off his fur coat and spread it out on the ground between you. His bare chest sagged as he knelt on the fur and looked up at you. You placed the basket beside you.

"Let's get begun," he said, gesturing for you to follow him onto the hide. You looked at him nervously. You hesitated for a moment, but soon you were kneeling on the fur in front of him. There was a slight smile on his face. He sensed that you were nervous, and he wanted to make you feel better.

He put his hands out in front of you and you put yours in his. His thumb ran slowly over the back of your hand.

"Sorry, I'm nervous," you whispered. It was an honour to be chosen by Papa Emeritus IV. You were surprised yourself. You'd had a secret crush on him for some time, and now to be here with him. Knowing that the two of you were going to have sex drove you crazy. Copia smiled and looked at you urgently.

"We'll take our time... After all, we have all night!" he said quietly, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "Let's say the blessing!" He let go of your hands and reached into the basket. He took out an atame and the small pot with the blood of the sacrificed lamb. He opened it and dipped the tip of the atame into it. The red blood clung to the blade as he brought it to your forehead. And carefully he drew the blade with the flat side over it.

“With the love of Satan, I bless you and our union in lust and devotion! Glory be to Satan in the depths!” he murmured, leaving a streak of blood on your forehead. The blade felt cool on your skin and you felt a shiver run down your spine.

Copia looked at you and smiled as he handed you the blade. Now it was your turn. You dipped the blade back into the blood and hesitantly raised it to his forehead. With the flat side of the blade, you stroked his forehead as he had done, leaving a streak of blood.

"With Lilith's blood I bless you and our union, in lust and devotion! Glory to Satan in the depths!" you said, looking at him. He nodded in agreement.

"And now don't forget to laugh..." he said and took a cloth from the basket, opened another bowl of milk, dipped the cloth in it and handed it to you. Then he took his own cloth and dipped it into the milk as well. You laughed. And so did he when you wiped the blood from each other's foreheads with the milk. The whole thing was so surreal. But also magical. The moon, which was round in the sky, shone down on you. While Copia took the cloth from your hand. He lay down on the fur and you did the same.

"And now... we absorb the energy of the moon," he whispered. His hand found yours and he intertwined his fingers with yours.

"How long will we lie like this?" you asked.

"Until it is time to perform the act," he said. And you both looked at the moon.

October 30, 2024 - Day 133

My new wool shoes I ordered arrived!

Been wet the past few days so no gardening. Took the day off today, made myself avoid sitting down with my laptop completely. I think tomorrow can be another chill day, I have said I will do 1 work emergency thing but otherwise not about. I slept a lot last night and went hard at the gym with weights but not so much with cardio as I'm conscious of balancing not eating before the gym and being dizzy with eating then sprinting and feeling sick and getting tummy pains.

Had a dream last night where I was way back in history. It was ancient city, buildings and streets made of cream yellowish stones. I was standing on the street when I heard horrible scream and grumble behind me. I spun around while standing at the edge of the circle shaped city's center / square.

Right across me, behind few buildings and straight road going slightly down, was this amazing building. Some kind of arena, without a doubt, where people gathered. Sky behind it was a mix of black thick smoke with red and yellow from huge, huge and furious flames. This building was swallowed, destroyed and it collapsed.

I felt absolutely horrible as I watched it grumble down, people all around me screaming and panicking. I then heard a male voice say to me: "It got destroyed 3,000 years ago." I also was shown the name with white letters floating in the air but I can't remember it. It started with "A" but that's all.

But as I watched this scene, I knew it was lava based fire. Volcano somewhere nearby had erupted. I knew everyone would die and everything destroyed. I woke soon after this. But the feeling when you stand on the street, staring the burning building, see it collapse with dark smoke and flames, hearing people scream and wind play your hair... It is rather horrifying.

Now, I know most popular and well known case is Pompeii but I can't be sure it was Pompeii in my dream. Or if it was, then that arena's name was the one starting with "A" instead of the city.
