Grateful for: 2 more days off! And one tomorrow is with H! We can play video games and relax on the sofa. I will be committed to rest tomorrow in particular I think. A very windy day outside this evening which was very cosy. Grateful for chicken wings for dinner which were great. Grateful for getting to talk out some complex stuff with sister. Dealing with heavy family stuff, it's been like 4 days of this, I was feeling better yesterday then another swat. The options are either my brother is a victim of something awful or he's more manipulative and/or unwell than I thought possible

... so in many ways I am 'hoping' for option 1 which is disturbing to me. I did not think I would end up in this situation but I will handle it as best I can. Things I know to be true: I love him, I want him to have as good and safe a life as possible, I condemn people who harm others. All of these things can be true. I think it is more likely than not that he was victimised at some point because I know what life is like especially for vulnerable kids with abusive and negligent parents. I wonder if my internal querying of the situation comes from my desire as a lawyer to have the facts, or is it an attempt to deny what would be a very unpleasant fact?
