After getting lowered 500 feet, @enockglidden made it safely to the base of his first wall. Christian Cattell and myself brought the haul bags and ledges down while enjoying the wonderful view of #halfdome. While Enock may have learned a lot during his adaptive, sit-climbing ascent of #Astroman, the 15 people who assisted carrying and climbing learned just as much from him about the value of team-work, patience, and asking for help. #muderlakart #3000pullups @yosemitenps

The team! Myself, Christian, Nick and Enock after our adaptive climb of Washington Column. Enock has spina bifida and is a paraplegic who relies on doing pull ups to ascend his way up fixed ropes. This was his first time on a wall and sleeping in a portaledge. We hauled two very heavy haul bags, two portaledge and more gear than you can imagine. Enock did more than 600 pull ups to ascend more than 500 feet up the wall. Very inspiring. Next up for Enock, Zodiac. Teamwork, passion, and support. This is what it takes to get a sit-climber without the use of his legs up a climb. It requires the collaboration of the #yosemite community, rallying together to get @enockglidden to the base of #Washington column. Some folks knew @enockglidden but most were strangers who were psyched to volunteer their time and share their passion for climbing. On the hike in, 15 Climbing Rangers, #YOSAR, and #camp4 residents helped carry Enock to the base, traveling over steep talus.
