Made a visit to San Francisco Sports Cars when I was in the Bay Area - In the back corner was this unassuming mobster sedan owned by none other than Steve McQueen. A 1972 Mercedes Benz 300 SEL, this was one of his favourite cars, racking up over 80 thousand miles ripping around the streets of California. With an 6.3 litre V8 it was no slouch, even if McQueen wasn’t behind the wheel.
