Just went through this bad boy with Jay.

It’s a book that contains titles, text, and analysis of all ballot proposals, as well as reviews of all the judges we’ll be voting on.

We marked it up, circled what I’ll be voting for once my ballot comes in and made some notes.

Some of the proposals were easy; should we repeal the “one man and one woman” definition of marriage in the state constitution (HELL YEAH!) and guarantee abortion with a constitutional amendment (HELL YEAH!)? Should we increase funding for law enforcement (HELL NO!) or increase taxes on firearms (OH FUCK YES!)?

Others took more thought, like whether the deadline to file petitions should be moved one week earlier or whether people in prison for violent crimes should have to serve 85% of their sentences.

It led to some good talks.

I love our voting system. It should be this easy everywhere, it really should.

I just took a shower and changed from jammies to different jammies. I have indoorsy ambitions today. Why? Because it fucking snowed. In late May. Because Colorado.

I met my new oncologist on Thursday. She's fine. Not as cool as the old one. She only wants to see me every other month, and only wants me to get scans every 4 months, so that's a $500/year savings.

We had a talk about how I don't want to be a cancer patient for years and years, but that's what metastatic breast cancer is. She talked about chemo breaks and other treatments. I'll have to think about it more.

Little Bro broke his tailbone yesterday! 😱 So I'm coming over tomorrow to watch Caballero and Princesa so he can take pain meds and lay on his tummy for a while.

Momo got my favorite stuffed animal 😭

Flying Bear, noooooooo!! I'll be sending him out to @doctorbeth when I get paid. It'll be a splurge, but I'm at the point in my life where my favorite teddy bear *does* deserve that kind of money.

Because this was a case of Momo being bored, rather than Momo being malicious, I figured she needs a new toy.

She got Blucy. They have pockets that I can stuff treats in.

Blucy is named after Blucifer, because both are cursed equines.

Here I am, sitting on hold with the pharmacy because they screwed up Lynn's medication order again. Everything, even phone calls, is more pleasant when I'm in the hammock with a beer on a warm day.
