Day 2 - Write 30 Interesting Facts About Yourself
I am doing this one very incorrectly. Not only is this list actually supposed to be on day 6, I am actually not writing it about myself but for my friend Aimee. She and I decided it would be more fun to write about each other!
So, ladies and gentleman, here is Aimee (or in the tumblr-sphere: untilseptembercomes) in a list:
1. She has really nice fingers. They are long and thin (but not bony) with perfectly curved fingernails.
2. She’s pretty messy with her personal space. I first shared a room with her on a trip to India back when we were wee-highschool-freshman, and I was surprised to find that her beauty products, journals, pens, and clothing were scattered across the room.
3. ^^This surprised me because she is very responsible. I’d trust her with my life in a heartbeat.
4. She’s a great listener and advice-giver. I cannot even begin to share all the times I’ve shared with her my woes (and extreme over-analysis) about life, friends, boys, etc with her. She knows when to speak and when to be quiet, qualities that I dearly appreciate.
5. She dances (?)(I have yet to see this).
6. She has an artistic bent. For example, the first time she ever came to my house (7th grade for Thanksgiving dinner), she drew an adorable teddy bear in an old notebook. She constantly doodled during class (especially in statistics!), and she has a delightful way of putting colors together.
7. She is feminine without being gaudy. Classy lady she is!
8. Her brother, David, is adorable and he loves her a lot (which is even more adorable) (who wouldn’t love her?).
9. I don’t think I could be tired of her presence. We can remain quiet for long periods of time without the usual accompanying awkwardness that occurs with “lesser” friends.
10. She has a very thoughtful mind and heart. She desires to know truth and to love other people.
11. She is a very grateful person. She notices small things that people do and is touched by their actions.
12. She loves almost all food!
13. She is a Chubby-Bunny Cheater!!!!!
14. She directed multiple plays in high school, demonstrating that she can effectively lead people, is creative, and has a lot of humility.
15. She has lots of creative ways to turn boys down. Eg: “I have to work the sound booth!”
16. During senior year, we had every class together but one. I would walk her to this class almost every day, and then proceed to my own.
17. She has lots of old, awkward pictures that are easy to find and to make fun of.
18. Once, she wanted to Skype while we worked on homework. At the time, we lived only 10 minutes away from each other.
19. She has celebrated two Thanksgivings with me. Once, she came to my house in 7th grade to celebrate with my family and a group of ICS teachers. Not too long ago, she came to Colorado to celebrate with my extended family.
20. She is very intelligent. Her senior thesis was so complex that the teachers who graded all the other students’ papers had to ask somebody from outside of the department to read hers.
21. She wears (short) heals often.
22. She has been to India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and Indonesia with me.
23. We both had our first serious crushes at the same time.
24. She loves sunshine, as proven by her first email address.
25. She ran 7 miles the other day, but had trouble understanding how far 7 miles actually was.
26. One time, she brought corn to a sleepover. It was yummy.
27. She introduced me to a bit of heaven called bubble tea.
28. She kicks in her sleep. However, she redeems this by speaking multiple languages while she dreams.
29. She was an honorary member of the “West Bay Gang”- aka Nathan, Wynonna, and I. Oh, and good old Mrs. White!
30. Every time we talk, she challenges me with her life and her love. I am inspired to push boundaries the way that she does.
