My New to Who story
Once upon a time, my friend offered to loan me some DVD. I had no idea what it was, and I thought that my parents wouldn't let me watch it, so I declined the offer.
The next summer, Doctor Who related stuff kept popping up on all my social media sites, mainly pinterest. I started asking around about it. I got told many times by many different people that I should watch it. I did, needless to say. The same friend that initiated this let me borrow his DVD and the rest is history.
I remember watching it for the first time on a Friday afternoon just after school. I sat in my beanbag chair just before I was supposed to go out to dinner. I hadn't even bothered to change out of the clothes that I had worn to school. I still smelled like dirt and dust, because summer was still lingering around. It was fantastic. Nine was my first Doctor, and the whole series will always hold a place in my heart.
