My dad always said, "In order to know how to be a good person, everyone should work customer service at least once in their life." I kept these words packed away because they are very true. Working retail and in restaurants is hard and if some of the customers I have seen in my days as a server had to wait on people just like them, they would certainly be nicer to the next server they came across. The holiday season can be stressful and often customers take it out on the workers.
