Day 12:

Describe their best and worst memories from childhood.

Perhaps the memory Magolor regards to be the best is the one where he managed to show up someone whom he had been competing with up; they had been going around with a big head, and he knew that what they were saying was wrong; managing to prove it made him very happy for a long time.

The worst would be not one specific memory, but a general feeling he remembers--loneliness. When he was a child, he isolated himself, to the point where he didn't know how to make friends. He still doesn't.

Day 13:

Where (and when) did they grow up? How did they view it as a child, and did that change as they matured? How do they feel about the place now?

Magolor grew up on Halcandra during the last "great" period on it (or, well, what would have been the last great period on it, had the civilization not been destroyed). He loved it as a child; he loved the greenery, he loved the locations, he loved everything, even as he grew.

Now? Not so much.

What were they like as a child? What was their favorite toy? Favorite game? Playmates?

Magolor was very...reserved, as a child. This wasn't an uncommon thing for young Halcandrans, but some found it odd that he remained like this throughout his entire life. He had no toys, or games, or playmates; books were his friends.

What did they want to be when they grew up? 

He wasn't sure--perhaps a scholar, though he certainly didn't become it.

What is their family history like? How does it affect them? How do they feel about their family? How does their family feel about them?

Magolor doesn't have a "family" in the traditional sense--on Halcandra, the community raised the young. (So, technically, everyone was his family.)

And he hates them all.

He was very isolated from a young age, due to his intense studies--not uncommon among young, but as most aged, Halcandrans generally became more social. Magolor, however, did not. This led to some people even forgetting that he existed, due to the long periods of time he would spend away from the planet. (Okay, it wasn't that bad, but.)

He wasn't very well-liked, especially after he renounced everyone and tried to kill them--but some people feel sorry for him. Others just dislike him. It varies.

How are they with technology?

Very good--but it depends on the type of technology.

When working with Halcandran stuff, he's a wizard; but if he had to deal with Earth technology, for example, he'd struggle for a bit, just because of how primitive it would seem to him. 

Are they specially qualified in any particular field? Would they be considered at the top of the field?

Not...really? While he might seem brilliant, Magolor is acutally only as intelligent as an average Halcandran. 

Have they ever been publically acknowledged for anything? (Ex. Nobel Prize)

No.

Is there anything they’ve deliberately sought to improve at?

He wants to know more in general, but that's it.

Do they speak more than one language?

Oh, yes.

Magolor's native language is the one, obviously, spoken on Halcandra. He also speaks Dreamlandian (?) fairly well, and any language that creatures use in the Gamble Galaxy, really. 

When it comes to languages spoken on Earth, for example: he would be able to communicate in English and Japanese very well, and would be conversational in French. If he put his mind to it, it wouldn't be hard to learn more, though.

What are some of your character’s more notable merits and flaws (including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc.)? How did they develop? How has this helped or hindered them in the past?

Merits? He's smart, for one thing--and he knows how to charm people. He's good at hiding his true intentions, and thanks to the way he dresses, he's hard to read.

His flaws are, quite simply, that he still wants to take over the universe, and that he's a jerk.

But he's like this because of the way he was treated when he was younger; no one simply springs forth an asshole, after all. He was antisocial, he felt unliked and unwanted; and eventually, it led to him rejecting his people. It is very hard for him to trust others now: he believes that he's better on his own.

Where does your character live? Why did they choose it, and how did they acquire it? How do they handle intruders (graciously? violently?)? Describe the space.

Magolor lives on the Lor Starcutter, a ship capable of inter-dimensional travel. It is a neat, clean space; there are many rooms that are empty, due to him living on it alone. It was built to have multiple members, not just one. There are sleeping quarters, areas for eating, and training areas, as well. The place where Magolor spends most of his time is the room where the control panel is located; there, he is able to decide where the ship goes, as well as have access to a database of information.

Magolor originally did not intend on living in the Starcutter; he believed that he'd find somewhere to settle eventually. However, since there are few places he could go without individuals knowing who he is (trying to take over the universe will get you famous, but for the wrong reasons), he stays on the Starcutter nearly all the time; leading him to be incredibly isolated. He stole the ship from where it was buried on Halcandra; there's no way he could have possibly built something like it.

If someone intruded, Magolor would probably just try to get them out; though he'd attempt being nice about it at first.

Why do they have their resources? How long have they had them, and how have they served the character over time? (Ex. Contacts, money, political power, fame, etc.)

Well, Magolor doesn't have many resources--mostly everyone he knows is either dead or hates him, and again, he's practically broke. On Halcandra, there wasn't really a need for much money (of course, that didn't keep certain Halcandrans from having it, but by the time Magolor was old enough to really begin getting some, he had other things on his mind).

He's semi-well known throughout the universe--certainly, he is infamous on Popstar and nearby planets through the Gamble Galaxy--but he would much rather end up on a planet where his name is not known. After all, how can one plot to take over the universe with hateful breathing on their back?

Resources and abilities: Where did they learn their abilities?

Most everything Magolor knows comes from his studies on Halcandra; he devoted so much of his time doing that that he could probably quote facts off the top of his head. All his magic, all his knowledge...it all comes from his studies.

If they have an income, where does it come from?

N/A; Magolor doesn't have an income. He usually just steals things when the time arises.

Do they have a job? Do they like it? How do they feel about their co-workers?

No, not applicable, and if he did have co-workers, he probably wouldn't like them.
