(( Sorry about being gone so long, guys, but school and the way my mental health's been dropping lately's been hard on me. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to put this blog on a temporary hiatus until it all sorts out. I should be on around the winter holidays, though. ))

Day 12:

Describe their best and worst memories from childhood.

Perhaps the memory Magolor regards to be the best is the one where he managed to show up someone whom he had been competing with up; they had been going around with a big head, and he knew that what they were saying was wrong; managing to prove it made him very happy for a long time.

The worst would be not one specific memory, but a general feeling he remembers--loneliness. When he was a child, he isolated himself, to the point where he didn't know how to make friends. He still doesn't.

Day 13:

Where (and when) did they grow up? How did they view it as a child, and did that change as they matured? How do they feel about the place now?

Magolor grew up on Halcandra during the last "great" period on it (or, well, what would have been the last great period on it, had the civilization not been destroyed). He loved it as a child; he loved the greenery, he loved the locations, he loved everything, even as he grew.

Now? Not so much.

           It had gotten to the point where Magolor would wander space without rhyme or reason--hopping from dimension to dimension, sailing the stars. He was almost always bored, and was almost always having to distract himself with silly things that had little meaning.

                 He'd also taken to cutting holes in space and simply flying to random places without reason. It was sometimes interesting to see how things turned out--he could go from a dead galaxy to a budding civilization. But now, he was somewhere else entirely; and he was a little confused.

                      The planet looming before him seemed to be made from Dark Matter. (Or, well, he wasn't too close to it, but a projection of it had come up on the Starcutter's screen.) A few strokes were put into the computer, and an analysis of it was started.

        He had heard rumors of such a thing before, but had he believed them? Not...really. Or, rather, he didn't believe that it would be possible for anyone to come upon it, though the Starcutter was incredibly powerful. But why would it chose to bring him here?

           He felt almost as if there was something drawing him to the planet, but he wanted to deny that thought. He liked to believe that the Dark Matter inside of him was controlled, that the only real thing it had done was make him lose his mouth.

                                   And he sat there, waiting for a definite analysis to be given (if one could even be conjured).

What were they like as a child? What was their favorite toy? Favorite game? Playmates?

Magolor was very...reserved, as a child. This wasn't an uncommon thing for young Halcandrans, but some found it odd that he remained like this throughout his entire life. He had no toys, or games, or playmates; books were his friends.

What did they want to be when they grew up? 

He wasn't sure--perhaps a scholar, though he certainly didn't become it.

What is their family history like? How does it affect them? How do they feel about their family? How does their family feel about them?

Magolor doesn't have a "family" in the traditional sense--on Halcandra, the community raised the young. (So, technically, everyone was his family.)

And he hates them all.

He was very isolated from a young age, due to his intense studies--not uncommon among young, but as most aged, Halcandrans generally became more social. Magolor, however, did not. This led to some people even forgetting that he existed, due to the long periods of time he would spend away from the planet. (Okay, it wasn't that bad, but.)

He wasn't very well-liked, especially after he renounced everyone and tried to kill them--but some people feel sorry for him. Others just dislike him. It varies.

[✰]: Hm, today was a rather…boring day. But then again, intergalactic travel isn’t always the most exciting of things to do if no one else was involved.He could have easily command the Lor Starcutter to cut a portal directly to Popstar but been there, done that. Normally the alien would preoccupy himself by entering through the spaceship’s many rooms, but he felt as though he’s done that a million times already today. Sigh. Boredom isn’t fun.

Seeing as though the Lor was already landed in a safe spot somewhere, there was probably nothing wrong with a little nap (not that he could find something entertaining to keep himself awake in anyway) . Before he knew it, he was out cold by the base of the ship’s control panel. Oops.

                    It was a slow day.

        Magolor was tired for two reasons: one, he had begun working more with his magic as of late, and that did take it out of him when he did more complicated things; and two, he simply didn't do much aside from that. The Lor often drifted aimlessly through the stars, and he was happy to let it--perhaps he'd find adventure other places if he just wondered.

          Finally, after a hours, he decided that the only way he'd manage to get more awake would be to do something different, and ended up landing on a small, nearby planet, one that didn't have many inhabitants or things on it at all.

   In fact, there were so few things that it was very possible to see none other than what appeared to be an exact replica of the Lor Starcutter parked on it.

            That was enough to not only wake him up, but make him wonder if he had landed on some sort of planet of illusions.

       So he parked his own Starcutter, and approached what he realized was not an illusion--no, this was a very real thing. But who could possibly have obtained such an exact replica?

           He entered it--luckily for him, the ways in were the same. Everything seemed to be exactly the same, from the way the rooms were organized to the way he had labeled them.

       And then, he reached the control room--and then, he saw none other than himself, slumped over the panel.

                    He rubbed his eyes, and yet, there he was--so he couldn't help but poke his doppelganger. Was it even real? Was this just some sort of intricate clone created by--by, well, who knows what?

How are they with technology?

Very good--but it depends on the type of technology.

When working with Halcandran stuff, he's a wizard; but if he had to deal with Earth technology, for example, he'd struggle for a bit, just because of how primitive it would seem to him. 

Are they specially qualified in any particular field? Would they be considered at the top of the field?

Not...really? While he might seem brilliant, Magolor is acutally only as intelligent as an average Halcandran. 

Have they ever been publically acknowledged for anything? (Ex. Nobel Prize)

No.

Is there anything they’ve deliberately sought to improve at?

He wants to know more in general, but that's it.

Do they speak more than one language?

Oh, yes.

Magolor's native language is the one, obviously, spoken on Halcandra. He also speaks Dreamlandian (?) fairly well, and any language that creatures use in the Gamble Galaxy, really. 

When it comes to languages spoken on Earth, for example: he would be able to communicate in English and Japanese very well, and would be conversational in French. If he put his mind to it, it wouldn't be hard to learn more, though.

    Yellow ovals are closed as Magolor spins the small pink puff around; nearly half of the energy spheres have been collected, and it’s such great news.

             They begin to talk; Kirby discusses the lands he and his other friends have gone to in order to help the Halcandran recover from his crash landing. And Magolor listens—but only to a degree. He’s too busy thinking, and thinking, and thinking. Thinking about one thing, and one thing only—

                   the Master Crown.

         But it becomes apparent that Kirby is done speaking; blue stares up at him expectantly, a grin stretched wide over a pink face.

                           “Let’s always be friends!”

Until you and your friends come to your ends.

         Well, that certainly was unexpected.

    And the next thing Magolor knows, he's falling some sort of rope basket...thing. But unfortunately for him, the bottom is too small for him to fall complete through, and he just hangs there for a second, still in shock.

                 "What in the name of the Ancients?!"
