-Awesome As Fuck was just as great for me as BIAB was. I will never forget getting the album, sitting on my couch in my apartment, closing my eyes and listening to it from start to finish. The song "Going to Pasalacqua" on the live CD made me change the way I play bass, and if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be where I am today as a bassist. To this day, I still love listening to that live rendition of the song, and the bassline Mike plays is one of my favorite to play. One thing that i did/didn't like was the fact that there were some songs that were on the DVD taht weren't on the CD, and vice versa. I loved the live performance of "The Static Age" on the DVD, with the sax solo and the overall stage presence, but it wasn't on the album (rightfully so, I can see why since it's much better seeing it than just hearing it). "Going to Pasalacqua" wasn't on the DVD, which like I said is one of my favorite songs from that CD (hence my tumblr url), but in the end it's fine. The songs on the CD were meant for simply audio, while the ones on the DVD were meant to watch the performance, which adds to the songs a lot more.
In the end, I can't really choose between both. BIAB was great for me because it reminds of the period of my life where I started loving music, and if it wasn't for American Idiot (the album they were promoting on that tour), I probably wouldn't have wanted to start a band and play music. AAF reminds me of a time where my bass playing, musicianship, and love for music grew and improved. I love both, and I know that they'll go down as two of my favorite live albums of all time.
