I just finished reading UNWIND by Neal Shusterman. One of the most frightening things I've ever read, because it's SO believable! It belongs on the shelf next to THE HANDMAID'S TALE. It should be just as widely read and talked about.

Try-A-Chapter Book Review video
I just saw the new Jumanji film. I really liked it! Maybe even better than the last one? A really strong comedy! Nobody makes COMEDIES anymore!
Last week I saw the Harley Quinn movie, and I liked THAT too!
The worlds first Sci-Fi convention??
I saw 'Ad Astra' last night. What a waste of time and money. The first few scenes were kind of promising, but after that, it made NO SENSE. There's a trend in recent years for pretentious sci-fi films that are promoted as deep and awe-inspiring, but are actually just dumb. Yet another example of filmmakers who don't understand space travel and gravity AT ALL.
I finished reading A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC yesterday, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I did feel the climax needed to be more... I don't know, DIFFERENT from the rest of the book. It seemed like just another magic fight. All of Kell's magic fights were pretty much the same. I do recommend the book, though.
I watched the first few episodes of FINAL SPACE. Although there were a few interesting things about it, the lead character is so hateful, I just couldn't maintain enthusiasm. This show is definitely trying to follow in the footsteps of Rick & Morty, which I can't stand.
I reviewed the ZIMA BLUE book 5 years ago. The video has had a burst of views this month because of the Netflix animated series.
