Looking back, its actually pretty gross how management let the Larry narrative spread like wildfire by allowing every interviewer to question them about the rumors and speculation. These were 16, 17, 18 year old teenagers, being questioned by adults wanting to know if they were in a same sex relationship. And the other boys were also forced to answer these questions. Really think about that and how invasive that is. What did that have to do with them being in a boyband and selling records? Why did management not put these questions off limits once it started getting out of control by media? Yes ships sell, but they really did nothing to protect 1D when it came down to it. Imagine being in the closet, liking your bandmate and suddenly its about if you make out and kiss. I would deny it too, being put on the spot like that. Sure, you can say fans were speculating and shipping and kick started it, but that usually happens with fandoms, but the media is the ones who kept it in the limelight by asking them about it in every single interview, printing it in magazines, which in return also kept fans interested in it. Now as solo adults, I am sorta convinced Harry's team put a stop to it and its why 95% of the time Louis/Larry never comes up in his interviews, but Louis hasn't put it off limits and its why 100% of the time Harry is always brought up in some way and 95% of the time, Larry is. Kinda weird considering Louis is the one who has denied Larry the most publicly, but maybe, just maybe he allows it to piss his management, Harry and the Azoffs off. I don't think anyone would blame him.

I was looking up a video for this ask, and I found something interesting. This is from a Sirius XM interview on 31 Jan 2020, and the DJs are baiting Louis by asking him his opinion on Baby Yoda, and then bringing up Harry’s video.

Sirius XM cut off Louis’ response, but you can tell by his facial expression that Louis is immediately annoyed and angered that they bait him. Better clip here.

In the clip that’s on YouTube, Sirius XM has actually cut out Harry’s video (around 11:08). It no longer exists within the full video. Louis has kept his calm with answering, however. He’s a pro. The funny thing is that right before this clip, they had asked Louis whether he would miss spending time with Freddie while he was on tour.

Who asked for Harry’s clip to be taken down? My guess— Harry’s team.

They were badly exploited as young artists. They wanted to be honest but their honesty was abused and used for titillation and gossip.

I also think that in the case of One Direction and Harry Styles questions, Louis doesn’t want to give the appearance that he has anything to hide. They can ask him a thousand times, he’s going to give the same answer. Clearly Louis doesn’t give a fuck whether it pisses off fans because he’s pretty fucking sick of it. Louis’ management is going to support whatever Louis wants to do, anyone else be damned. They work for Louis, not the other way around.

Not a single word had to be read twice. This note to self from that night is properly worded. Here goes :

Now this is good meditation. My mind was made up about meditating. I sat in position without waiting for my immediate environment to settle down. This made a big difference to the quality of this session. I lasted long and my breath disappeared many times over. This needs to gather strength. This quality needs to get stronger. It’s good to write soon after meditation. The mind is quiet and rested and almost cheerful !
