Sisyphus Mantra

I use Sisyphus as a mantra, Holding his name up as a shield against frustration, Meditating on how I must imagine him happy So that I can learn how to be happy.

Life is an acquired taste, And so is the chaff that fills it. Life is filled with paperwork and time wasters and the same thing you did last week, And without a trained eye it can get so tiring. But look at how wonderful it is, How even tired and cynical you can still appreciate a good cake, How exhaustion fades away the moment a story hooks you. The thing about pushing a boulder up a hill Is that in the moment where it falls down the other side, You have a great view of how the land stretches out for miles, And a moment to catch your breath.
