Most attempts at #ArtDeco after 1950 are half-hearted efforts that fall well short of the mark. Luckily for me because I live in SoCal, #DCA & #DowntownDisney do it right. Heck, the #PanPacific homage has been my smartphone startpage as long as I've had a smartphone #31DaysOfDeco . Still pissed they repurposed the Hollywood Tower of Terror in a Guardians of the Galaxy ride, though.

Always in my top 5️⃣ #ArtDeco in Southern California is the combo of the Statue of Donal Hord’s Guardian of Water in front of the #SanDiego City & County Administration Building. #31DaysOfDeco I am particularly proud of my night photos since I carefully set up remote dual flash units to light up the statue.

Went on a nice saunter down Beverly Blvd on Saturday with the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles to take some photos of… #ArtDeco #31DaysOfDeco . FUN FACT: if you park at the Grove & park level 3 & up, facing north, you get a nice view of the Sunset Tower Hotel & Griffith Observatory (even though it was a hazy day so they look fuzzy in the photos).

Mormon churches often confuse me because they often draw upon the Art Deco style but always spin it just enough to where I'm not sure what I should call it. This one is in Ventura on 3501 Loma Vista Road
