Today is 32623
For instance, when Amy Cooper, a White woman, called the police on a Black man birdwatching in the park, she put his life in danger by making false statements to the police. Many compared Cooper to Carolyn Bryant, who, in 1955, falsely accused Emmet Till of whistling at her, a lie that inspired his lynching. Back in 1921, The Tulsa Race Massacre began after a group of White men accused Dick Rowland, a Black man, of raping a White woman in an elevator. Despite her denying any rape occurred, the white mob tore the city apart, burning 35 city blocks to the ground, and killing and harassing hundreds of Black people. In America, the pattern is clear that when a White woman's "virtue" is threatened by a Black man, all hell breaks loose, even when no White woman was actually hurt. allison wiltz
A letter to You
Dear You,
Greetings!
You are old and wiser now. You know better already and the signs from the universe keep going your way! Don't miss every opportunity to grow and learn to take steps forward, slowly, steadily and even if you say you are scared, it's okay. Fear is normal. Also, making mistakes is normal at whatever age you are in life. Just keep going to the direction that keeps your passionate self happy, nurtured and strong. Even if people treat you badly, you can withstand that because you are resilient. You have suffered enough. Isn't it time to let go and be happy? Move on to the next chapter. Don't think you are any less than anybody just because you feel stuck at the middle chapter again. Scratch the thoughts of negativity, fill your days with affirmations and do something worth while. Let's get real here, life is short and you don't want to spend the rest of your life saying sorry and making other people your world. You should live a free life. Don't be too attached to the things that doesn't add to your value. You are far better, you are amazing. Keep going on and don't give up. So many people love you. They matter. You matter too. Don't be too hard on yourself. Take care.
Love,
Still You
