Magic Improvisation

Improvisation is a magic trick. It looks effortless and spontaneous, But any good solo is grounded in music theory, And scales and riffs give a baseline to work with. There is just as much preparation as any other piece, It just takes a different set of skills, A focus on the basics and drilling them until they flow from your fingers.

That is to say, You can accomplish things without knowing exactly how to do them. Sometimes all you need is the general shape, Some practice, And a willingness to try.
