Pokémon Diamond And Pearl: Sinnoh League Victors
Yes, I watch Pokémon, gotta problem with that? Pokémon Diamon and Pearl: Sinnoh League Victors is the final and shortest season of DP series, containing the episodes 158-191.
Having watched the previous seasons, and pretty much growing up with the original gang, I never came to like Dawn as much as Misty or even May. There was not even any interesting rivals like Gary or Drew, though I have to admit that Paul was interesting during the Battle Frontier... but that was in the previous season, yeah. I wonder how Paul grew up like that despite Reggie being there. I guess the only decent rival’s were Barry (with his endless nanadatte, and reseblance to Pokémon Specials Pearl... duh.) and Kenny (I’m weak toward red-heads).
There’s not much to say about the episodes. We got to see various things, like Dawn’s fear of pusle and minun (why?), her being mirror image of a royalty and various other episodes. What was the best thing in this season, was the fact that we finally got the League battle, which meant that we also got to see Ash’s old gang. And Qyndaquil evolving!
It was also in this season, that I finally found the Japanese material of this anime and got to hear their original voice’s. I mean, no offence to all dubbers, but I prefer Japanese voice over dubbed anyday! (maybe expect for the Finnish dub of the original series, because that’s my childhood dub and it was EPIC! The jokes and everything were top-notch!). It’s good that the rest of the season’s can be found in Japanese also! (and we have Kaji Yuki and Miyano Mamoru there). Rica Matsumoto is also a legend.
Now it’s not a surprise and Ash once again didn’t become a champion (with his logic and battle style, I do not wonder), but at least he did better than in Hoenn. And surprise, surprise his journey continues. This time, we’re losing Brock too. (cries).
Final Impression: This kid (sigh), he still has a long way to become a Champion.
