i embroidered some more today while also having dealt with a bunch of crises.
please observe what i spent my time on yesterday and today.
i love them a lot.
i have one more kit to do and i think i'll be good. the roses today were fun to do. i know how to do leaves now.
joel is out and because the weather has been terrible he will likely just be back tomorrow. i am saddened by his absence. but not about the absence of cold feet on my legs. my feet are cold enough.

today was a decent day for little ol' me.
i didn't wake up on time, but i made it to work with food and still with plenty of time, so there was no need to worry. i even stopped to look for bunnies since i was having a hard time seeing them.
i like the bunnies.
work was quiet. i ended up sending something out for the flooding in florida while ken tried to get IT to fix his teams account, but that didn't work.
the rest of the day was quiet.
and i realized while i had my lunch that i had made more than half a gallon of pasta salad and that after four bowls i still hadn't gotten halfway done with it.
while i was by myself in the office this afternoon, i managed to make a couple phone calls that i'd been meaning to make for a while. i first called the IRS to check what was up with my tax return, and apparently the "data doesn't match" note for me is because my paperwork hasn't been processed yet. the lady was VERY nice to me and she recommended i check back in two weeks or so. she was very sweet and i was happy i got to speak to someone who was so kind.
i also got to call the debt collector that's got my mass eye account, so i was able to set up a payment plan that wasn't $160 a month and that will start next month. the man i talked to was very soft-spoken and was very nice, too. i was really lucky today talking to people on the phone. next week i need to make an appointment at a retina specialist so i can get the pictures sent to my other doctor that i can't see again because it'll be too expensive to pay for.
so those were both really good things. i was happy to have some answers.
as i left work, i told leo he could eat some of that pasta salad that still has a ton left in the fridge. for dinner i stopped at panda express and i should've eaten there bc when i got back it was nearly cold.
i had a friend date with willow and lumen this evening! we watched a movie called "i saw the tv glow" and im not gonna lie it fucked with my head a lot. it was supposedly a scary movie, and while it certainly was tense and a little frightening in some scenes, it wasn't a horror movie like i expected. i was messaging leo about it because if i have a second task and i get scared i can distract myself and calm down easier. leo likes scary movies though. i nearly said i'd watch scary movies if i could cuddle with him. i barely cuddle with joel as it is since it's always toasty with him. i'm cuddling my stuffed animals and that's that.
but regardless, it's all over and done and it was kinda wild but it was good and the ending was abrupt and kind of jarring. but it was still good. weird. but good.
now it's bedtime. joel is back from his adventures with his friends, and he's playing video games. i would love some affection right about now. but also i could use the sleep more.
