Well, it’s time...
I have decided to discontinue my blog. I am going on vacation for a week, and when I return on the 18th, I will deactivate this account.
6 years, 38,000 posts (100% 'SFW'), 15,000 followers (many of whom are NSFW)
To all the people who contacted me over the years to express their appreciation, I sincerely thank you. I tried to share interesting cars outside the typical, Supercar idiom... presented with at least a minimum of photographic quality. Glad to know there was some audience for that.
Although I've thought about ending the blog for some time, the final straw was tumblr's ToS change regarding content. I can't support tumblr for unilaterally deciding to abandon a huge chunk of its users, after having created an environment of free expression and creativity.
It not about the censorship (which I loath), or that I really care about porn. It's the seemingly arbitrary nature of the limitations (nipples are out but Nazis are OK?), and the complete abandonment and disregard of loyal users. @staff
Tumblr can change their ToS if they want, but so can I. Tumblr’s actions and attitude violate my ToS, not to mention my sensibilities and my sense of right and wrong.
So I am terminating tumblr.
