"Yeah, let it down nice and slow"...
The Seer relayed her terms through the generally understood argot of an assassin. The result "go," while at face value would suggest the Thief was allowed to leave, was actually the Seer's code word for the threat of death. This was obvious to everyone, including the Thief.
The Seer took her scale, and weighed the Thief's soul against the fate of her species.
While the Thief turned to fly away, making a show of claiming her prize, the Seer would stab her in the back the moment her guard was dropped.
The Thief saw her do this, and smiled, confident the scale would tip her way.
She was right.
...what?
No, seriously. What?
I was absolutely, unflinchingly convinced that Terezi was going to go through with it. Vriska's suicidal plan left her with no other options, and Gamzee's been working to erase the seeds of doubt which have started to take root in Terezi's mind, replacing them with cold-blooded tunnel vision. It felt inevitable. Inescapable. A foregone conclusion to a narrative years in the making.
Well, I guess it's go time, then. The trolls have mere minutes to evacuate their hideout - all because Terezi started to get a little too human. I'm proud of her, but this is, technically, a disaster.

What IS Echoes of Eclipse?
Echoes of Eclipse is a magical girl book, written online by me, and with the help of my two friends. It has inspiration off of the animes Madoka Magica and Made in Abyss. Madoka Magica inspired me with the theme of magical girls who have no way to avoid becoming the same thing they hunt or dying, and Made in Abyss is the inspiration for the brutal deaths with magical environments.
The setting is a time before the earth that we, as humans right now, think the earth was. Why do we not know about it right now? The idea is that the humans during this time removed all traces of their time and let the earth "reset."
Magical girls themselves, are usually who views themself as a girl, enjoys being perceived as one. A magical BOY is very, very rare(forshadowing). Most commonly humans, but they can also be non-human, such as Alkira being a cloudborn or 3773 being a literal robot(technically half human but that's a spoiler). Magic girl weapons can be either from the outfit, a direct weapon or limited to abilities.
Magical girl deaths. Most, if not all, magical girls die at ages 16-18, and are usually due to the brain and nervous system being unable to take in the signals of the magic happening. The oldest KNOWN magic girl is only 22 years of age.
THATS ALL!!! FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT MORE AND AWAIT TILL THE STORYS RELEASED!!!
