Honestly, this is a bit of a lucky break for WV. If Jack knew he was in possession of the White Ring, he’d have been Exiled to the afterlife, instead.

Fun fact: across the entire universe, you and a handful of very unfortunate astronauts are all that remains of the human race.

PM seems to have found her Exile Station fairly quickly. By the time WV found his, his garb was weathered and dusty, but hers is still in pristine condition.

Was PM just lucky, then? I suppose it would be a lot easier for her, because she could see her station from a distance.

I was originally going to jump straight into Jade's next section, but now that I'm actually assessing the other options here, they're all intriguing as hell.

What, then, do I want to learn first?

What the hell is up with Gamzee? Is this old conversation with Tavros really a flashback? If it's taking place in another Dream Bubble, does that mean he did die off-panel?

What, exactly, is Aradia’s goal in traveling to the Green Sun? Could she actually have a plan to help the Strider-Lalondes escape their fate?

Does Doc Scratch really do his own housework?

...on reflection, that last question demands the most immediate answer.

3990 4am drabble be upon ye (i do not like it as much but it was just a way to get emotions out at the time)

"Hey," Ty blinks his eyes open, the blurry figure of Victor adjusting in the dark, "We made it." Vague, but he thinks he understands.

It's often he thinks stops and thinks about his time in Omaha. Not that it wasn't good, but in the same way it's hard to look back at all in this sport. Though it lingers. When you spend two years with someone, share your fears and firsts, it tends to become hard to forget. They never put a name to what they were doing. Unsure kisses, even more unsure handjobs. It was different back then.

Ty can see Victor's face a little more clearly now, eyes soft and tired. The warmth of his body is hard to move away from and he doesn't mind when a kiss is placed upon his lips. It elicits a small, sleepy laugh from his mouth. Maybe things aren't so different after all.

At least he'd like to believe. Or perhaps not. Neither of them expected to play together again once more. It would be nice, but it's not something you can hope for in this world. Time and maybe even fate is what changes them, what brings them back together. Ty can look at Victor all he wants, there's only remnants of Omaha left. It's not something he can put a clear feeling to. Good or bad.

For now he lies with him in bed, their legs twisted together like a pretzel. Tomorrow they will go practice for the team they both play for now, something that was only previously kept to hushed whispers in quiet dorm rooms. Something that has become real within a blink of an eye and a long stretched out moment at the same time. He knows Victor sees the same ghosts in him. That's never scared him,

"Go to sleep, idiot." Victor just grins as he snuggles closer. The darkness and silence of the room has not changed, hardly even shifted. Neither of them have been made different in the past minute. Yet there's something looser in the air. Like the world has given them both a sigh of relief.

Yeah. They made it.

“Wait. You went to Shogun without  me? What? Well, there’s a charge here for the Teppanyaki place. Who’d you go with? Oh ... Chimney. You know, never took him out for his birthday. And you didn’t invite me? I love Teppanyaki. Babe, you  know how it is. I invite you, so he invites Maddie, Maddie invites Buck, Buck invites Eddie, and now we’ve gotta invite Athena and Bobby and next thing you know you’re looking at a dinner bill roughly the size of a mortgage payment.”
