Dan and Phil & things they should never say again
If Katara hadn’t come along with her brilliant sweat plan, who wants to bet Toph would have just invented woodbending
Ethel Meserve - Ina
1. It’s so sad Sokka can’t remember his mom but incredibly sweet how much he associates Katara with her
2. I love Sokka and Toph’s friendship!! Neither one gets to have heart-to-hearts like this very often
3. Toph and Katara’s relationship is really special. Even though they’re different as could be, I think they need each other. Katara needs someone who views the world very differently than she does, takes things a little less seriously, and is as staunch and vocal about her opinions as she is, and Toph needs a maternal figure who loves her unconditionally, someone she can let her emotional walls down around when she needs to.
4. Still, what pressure on Katara. To fill her mom’s place in her family, her tribe, and now, to be a mom to a ragtag group of kids when she’s just a kid herself. It’s not fair.
