different publications for jobs:
Stage jobs pro is a free online directory which enable individuals to sign up and create a profile and cv which is posted on their profile enabling prospective employers to look at them and contact them as well as jobs being listed on there as well which lets them look through a library of jobs to apply to ones they are suited too. This is very helpful to us as it enables us to find jobs and be picked for jobs in the same place and apply to more than one job at a time.
Another way of finding jobs is through looking in newspapers and specialist magazines to directly apply for the job advertised this usually involves sending an email with your cv included or ringing them and taking a cv and portfolio to an interview.
We can also apply to company's and theatre directly for example The Phoenix theatre has a page on its website where you can apply for jobs advertised or you can send them an email asking if you could be put on the record if any jobs do come up in the future the downside to this is you might not get a reply and they might not have the job you wanted listed at that time whereas with sites like stage jobs pro you can chose from a wide selection of jobs tailored to your skills.
many companies and theaters also offer work experience or apprenticeship on their sites as well which enables young adults to learn skills relevant to the industry before trying to get jobs.
